Digital Film Tools (http://www.digitalfilmtools.com/) says its Composite Suite Pro 2.0 and zMatte 4.0 plug-ins now support the OFX plug-in format. The Foundry’s Nuke visual effects software and Sony Vegas editing systems are qualified hosts.

Composite Suite Pro (pictured) features a collection of visual effects plug-ins that were previously only available in-house at a Hollywood feature film effects facility. It can be used to combine multiple images by using compositing tricks and techniques, color correction, blur, grain, matte manipulation, lens distortion, lighting effects and edge blending.

zMatte is a full-featured keyer that’s the result of Digital Film Tools’ experience in creating hundreds of blue and green screen composites. Using proprietary matte extraction techniques, zMatte lets you create mattes with minimal parameters, even when dealing with fine hair detail, smoke or reflections.

Composite Suite Pro and zMatte are both available now for US$395 each. If installed on the same machine, one license will run in the following applications: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion 5, Avid Editing Systems, Sony Vegas and the Foundry’s Nuke. Upgrades from Composite Suite Pro 1.5 and zMatte 3.5 are free of charge while previous versions are available for $100.
