FreeFileSync (http://www.freefilesync.org) has released version 6.11 of its open source file synchronization utility for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. The new release runs under all modern versions of these operating systems, including Mac OS X Yosemite and Windows 10.
FreeFileSync 6.11 features a new synchronization progress graph that rounds out a library of graphs and messages that deliver feedback on multiple visual and textual levels. The software also provides context menu (right-click) support that lets users immediately edit FreeFileSync configuration files and launch the program.
Other new features in version 6.11 include the ability to ignore time shifts when making comparisons between files, the ability to preview RAW CR2 image files from digital cameras, and enhanced comparison progress statistics and configuration dialog layouts.
FreeFileSync is available without cost. The software has been optimized for both CPU and File I/O performance, enabling it to scan a hard drive with 200,000 files in about ten seconds.
