MacPaw has released a new platform for app development and distribution that is an essential tool for selling apps outside Mac App Store: DevMate (http://devmate.com/).
It’s a two-fold platform designed to help developers with app distribution, collection of data, and analysis. DevMate consists of its SDK [software development kit] and its Dashboard. The SDK, DevMateKit, is designed to make it easy to integrate activations, update delivery, feedback collection, and crash report collection.
The Dashboard displays application data that gives developers a quick and complete overview of how their app is performing. According to MacPaw, developers can integrate the DevMateKit into their app to make it instantly ready for licensing, crash reporting, update delivery, tracking, and feedback collection.
