Apple has lost its long-held first place in mobile phone sales at physical stores in China to domestic smartphone maker OPPO in August as consumers waited for Apple’s phone launch this month, reports My Drivers, as noted by BrightWire.com, a global investment newswire.

OPPO took a 11.6% share in terms of sales volume, compared with 9.9% in July. Apple had a 11.4% share, followed by vivo’s 10.82% and Samsung’s 7.9%, according to My Drivers, citing a report by Sino Market Research. My Drivers is a Chinese website that covers IT industry news and product launches.
