Turntable for Mac, a “real album” app for Mac OS X, is now available at the Mac App Store for US$14.99. (A demo is available at http://tinyurl.com/nn63wuk.)
It’s touted as the first desktop music player ever to present real albums as you have in a physical collection. Albums and album art play full-screen and wide-screen on your computer. It’s the first time album art displays just like a real-life LP, like the records in the 60s, 70s, & 80s.
The app, presenting Albums as the main navigation medium, provides also varied, visual ways to navigate an album. You can scroll through a matte collection of tiled album art. You can scroll/thumb through full screen records like a physical album. Or you can browse by charts of artists.
