NewerTech (www.newertech.com) is shipping its HDMI Headless Video Accelerator again after it sold out last November. It’s a $19.50adapter that plugs into the Mac mini’s HDMI display port to make “headless” display-free Mac minis used as storage and media servers think there’s a display attached.
The NewerTech adapter activates the Mac’s video drivers and GPU (graphics processing unit) for 100% full video performance. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later.
