Apple has released updates for its pro video tools: Final Cut Pro X, Compressor, and Motion.
Final Cut Pro X, video editing software, has been upgraded to version 10.2.3. In addition to bug fixes, its customizable Default Effect lets you choose both a video and audio effect that’s assigned to a keyboard shortcut. There’s now a 4K export preset to create video files for Apple devices. Speed has been improved when opening libraries on a SAN. And there’s now the ability the share video to multiple YouTube accounts.
Final Cut Pro X is available at the Mac App Store and requires Mac OS X 10.10.4 or higher. For new users the cost is $299.99. Version 10.2.3 is a free update for registered users.
Compressor, the digital media encoding and compression tool, has been revved to version 4.2.2. It also adds a 4K export preset to create video files for Apple devices and squishes some bugs.
