GrapeCity, a component solution provider in the Microsoft Visual Studio Partner Ecosystem, has announced the 2016 v1 release of Xuni. Xuni is GrapeCity’s collection of cross-platform UI (user interface) controls for the iOS, Android and Xamarin platforms.
“As always, everything new in this release is supported in all the Xuni platforms: iOS, Android, Xamarin.Forms, Xamarin.Android, and Xamarin.iOS,” said Greg Lutz, product manager at GrapeCity. Developers choose Xuni controls when they need to provide native experiences in Android, iOS and Xamarin using the same API across all platforms.
The new Xuni Calendar control inside of Xuni 2016 v1 provides date range selection and navigation, along with animation and built-in globalization. What makes Xuni Calendar unique is that developers can match any popular calendar UI with either horizontal or vertical scrolling navigation, says Lutz.
Supported on iOS, Android, Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.Forms, Xuni’s FlexGrid is a datagrid control that brings a spreadsheet-like experience to mobile apps, with touch gestures and quick-cell editing capabilities. The 2016 v1 enhancements to the FlexGrid control include cell merging, row details, unbound support, and enhanced touch feedback, improving readability and flexibility, and providing an improved interactive experience.
Additional controls in the Xuni collection include, FlexChart, a flexible Cartesian chart control, FlexPie, for creating dynamic pie charts, and three gauge controls: Radial, Linear, and BulletGraph. For developers looking for data binding, Xuni offers a data binding component with Xuni CollectionView. It’s based off the .NET implementation, which makes it familiar to a large audience of developers. CollectionView provides currency, filtering, grouping and sorting services for data collection.
The company offers a no-charge, 30-day trial of Xuni which may be downloaded at www.goxuni.com. Online visitors may also access tutorials, forums, documentation, and videos as part of the Xuni experience.
