OWC has introduced the new OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini (http://tinyurl.com/hcrtrl2), an “ultra-portable” dual-drive RAID solution. It boasts speeds up to 738MB/s, capacities up to 4TB, and user-configurable options for RAID 0, RAID 1, spanning, and independent drive modes.
The OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini was designed for professionals in music production, video production, and photography, and for anyone who needs the convenience of portable storage without sacrificing production-grade performance. It’s among the first in its class to offer the USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C interface, which supports transfer rates up to 10Gb/s, according to OWC CEO Larry O’Connor. Additionally, the Mercury Elite Pro Dual mini is bus-power capable, so there’s no need to be tied to a power outlet.
