Promise Technology has released its custom storage solutions – Pegasus R4i and Pegasus J2i – designed for the all-new Mac Pro. These solutions are now available for purchase on Apple.com and will be available soon through the Promise global network of distributors and value-added resellers.
Promise Technology ays product highlights for the $2,299.95 Pegasus R4i include:
° A chassis designed to fit into Mac Pro’s MPX slots;
° A built-in macOS driver;
° Four swappable modules with 8TB 7200rpm SATA HDDs- pre-formatted and pre-installed;
° An optimal combination of capacity, redundancy and performance with up to 680 MB/s in RAID5;
° The Promise Pegasus Utility for storage management and monitoring.
Product highlights for the $99.95 Pegasus J2i include:
° A custom enclosure and cable assembly;
° One 8TB 7200 rpm SATA HDD pre-installed and pre-formatted;
° A bay for an optional additional HDD (to be installed by customers)
These custom-designed systems come with a three-year hardware warranty.
