Anthropics Technology’s PortraitPro is macOS compatible, retouching software with face relighting technology. It offers a fast, easy way to touch up your photos. And it’s gotten even better with version 21.

New features in version 21

The new features include Sky Replacement, Lighting Brushes, Clone tool, History tool, De-Noising, Color Styles, Hair Highlights, Color copying, Layer presets, optimized color space handling, ability to move catchlights, SVG backgrounds, free stock photos, and more. These features easily and quickly edit complex features of portraiture.

PortraitPro’s new Sky Replacement tool brings in technology from LandscapePro, advanced landscape editing software also created by Anthropics. You can now change skies in photos with the click of a button. The program changes the overall look of the image by altering color and tone that reflects the mood of the new sky. You can do this from pre-selected stock images included with the software. Or you can load in your own images.

PortraitPro 21 has new light effects ranging from glowing light streams to realistic relighting elements. The new Clone Tool lets you copy details and color from one area of an image to another.

The History tool allows you to easily switch between any recent state of the image from the current working session. You can track individual changes and/or restore a portion of an image to an earlier state. There are also new de-noising & sharpening tools, color styles, hair styles, and more.

Previous features that are still around (thankfully)

As with previous versions, PortraitPro 21 has face relighting technology. This means you can show your subject in their best light. Plus, the app has an enhanced capability to slim faces and take off the weight off that the camera puts on.

PortraitPro has full make-up controls. You can apply lipstick, eyeshadow, blusher and more.

The software can detect the age and gender of faces in the photograph . The most appropriate enhancements can automatically be applied to men, women and children. PortraitPro 21 on the Mac requires macOS 10.12 or higher. It’s available in Standard (US$54.95), Studio ($84.95), and Studio Max ($169.95) editions.
