The 2021 TCA Award nominees have been revealed and AppleTV+ freshman series “Ted Lasso” is the most nominated, reports Deadline. Two other Apple series, “Mythic Quest” and “For All Mankind” picked up some noms, as well.
It’s garnered five nominations including Individual Achievement In Comedy for stars Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, as well as nominations for Outstanding New Program, Outstanding Achievement In Comedy, and Program of the Year.
Charlotte Nicdao of Apple TV+’s “Mythic Quest” is also nominated for Individual Achievement in Comedy. The latter is also in the running for “Outstanding Achievement in Comedy.” And the streamer’s “For All Mankind” is up for Outstanding Achievement in Drama.
The TCA Awards are awards presented by the Television Critics Association in recognition of excellence in television. There’ll be no formal in-person presentation for the second year in a row due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. A full list of winners will be announced later this summer.
