CEO Stuart Sawyer says the company engineers smart materials that are found in protective gear worn by pro athletes, soldiers, first responders, motorcyclists, and Hollywood stuntmen and women. From their Innovation Lab in London, the D3O team of engineers, designers and chemists customize specific formulations to make soft, flexible materials with high shock absorbing properties that have set the industry standard in impact protection, he adds.
