Apple has released Pkl, a new open source “embeddable configuration language,” hoping to take the stress out of “small to large, simple to complex, ad-hoc to repetitive configuration tasks,” ,according to TechRadar Pro.
Launched on February 1 into version 0.25, the tech giant’s team have provided a “quick tour’” of the language in a text post on the Pkl documentation website, the article notes.
Pkl — pronounced Pickle — is an embeddable configuration language which provides rich support for data templating and validation. It can be used from the command line, integrated in a build pipeline, or embedded in a program. Pkl scales from small to large, simple to complex, ad-hoc to repetitive configuration tasks.
