Apple plans to create a new “vice president of stores and retail operations” role that will be filled by Vanessa Trigub, reports Bloomberg (a subscription is required to read the article).
She’ll oversee the heads of retail for Europe and the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and the Americas East region. This move is part of an effort to streamline management of its retail arm under senior executive Deirdre O’Brien, according to Bloomberg.
Trigub joined Apple in 2007 as a sales finance summer intern. In 2008, they became the Director of Finance and M&A Integration, where they played a crucial role in decision making across various Apple divisions. Her responsibilities included infrastructure planning for the launch and growth of Siri and Apple Maps, expanding into new countries, and improving the global retail staffing model.
In 2014, Vanessa became the senior director of WW Retail Market Development, leading a global business development team responsible for driving Apple Retail sales and strategies.
