Graebert GmbH (http://www.graebert.com) — which specializes in CAD solutions for desktop and mobile devices — has announced ARES, a cross-platform CAD solution.  
It uses a common design interface and is the first CAD solution to run natively across Mac OS X, Windows and Linux, while also being optimized for specific operating system features and capabilities. ARES also includes features such as built-in VoiceNotes for created files, 3D modeling support via the latest ACIS libraries and more.

A new job posting (http://jobs.apple.com/index.ajs?BID=1&method=mExternal.showJob&RID=47818) for a “Performance QA Engineer, iPad Media” on Apple’s site suggests that the company is preparing to add still and video camera capabilities to the iPad, as reported by “Mac Rumors” (http://www.macrumors.com),

Akvis Software (http://www.akvis.com) has updated Akvis Coloriage, its tool for coloring black-and-white photos, to version 7.0. Among other things it offers support for Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”) and Windows 7.

The update also introduces a new mode for the Pencil tool, Multicolor mode, as well as other improvements. Akvis Coloriage is available for Mac and Windows as a Photoshop plug-in and in a stand-alone edition.

Aquafadas has released PulpFx Abstract 1.0 (http://www.aquafadas.com/en/pulpfx), a collection of five generators for producing show-animated slideshows in Final Cut Pro, Motion, Final Cut Express and Adobe After Effects.
