Ulead today announced Photo Explorer for Mac, the first Mac version of its media management tool for acquiring, organizing and sharing image, video and other media files. The software’s feature set is similar to Photo Explorer 7.0 Pro for Windows, and is available now, although Ulead’s site has yet to be updated.

MusicMatch today released MusicMatch Jukebox Plus for Mac 2.5, an update to its multi-function MP3 software. Jukebox Plus 2.5 improves MP3 encoding performance (up to 8x); support for burning CDs via Toast; playback of MP3, WMA, and AIFF files; MusicMatch Guide, which allows users to find new music; music recommendations; and more. MusicMatch Jukebox Plus for Mac 2.5 is available now for US$19.99.

While Adobe’s Illustrator 10 and InDesign 2 announcements take the spotlight at Seybold (see below), the company has made a number of other announcements this morning. Among these is Adobe Studio, a part of Adobe’s Network Publishing vision that offers designers tools and services “to inspire the creative process, improve productivity and find new business opportunities.” Adobe Studio is comprised of DesignTeam, a subscription-based collaboration service (US$39.95 per month, per user), and a free community area offering design-related content.

FileMaker has announced FileMaker 5.5 Developer, which brings FileMaker 5.5 features to its software for developing solutions for deployment on the Web, desktop, or as a runtime application. The upgrade will ship on October 1st for US$499 and will include native Mac OS X support.

Wacom has introduced Cintiq, a new LCD tablet that features a 15-inch display (1024×768), 512 levels of pressure-sensitivity, and supports both DVI and VGA connectors. Cintiq is expected to ship in October for US$1,899 and will ship bundled with Corel Painter Classic.
