Apple raises iMac prices, upgrades iPod and Cinema Display offerings
At Macworld Expo Tokyo today, Apple announced that it will be raising the price of the new iMac by US$100 across the board to accommodate rising component costs. The company has also entered into volume production on the system, having shipped more than 125,000 to date. Apple also announced a 10GB iPod, which will sell for $499, or $100 more than the 5GB model. Custom engraving on the back of the iPod will be available as a $49 option.
