Windows XP update to appease anti-trust settlement
Microsoft announced Friday that an upcoming service pack update to Windows XP will implement changes dictated by the proposed anti-trust settlement, according to Reuters. Windows XP Service Pack 1 will allow users to easily specify with which programs documents of a certain type are opened, allowing them to quickly set their default Web browser, email application, and more. Another option will allow users to hide the icons to other applications that perform the same function.
