Audiogalaxy settles with music industry
Audiogalaxy.com, a music file-sharing service, has reached an out-of-court settlement with the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Music Publishers’ Association whereby its future service will have its content filtered, according to The Street.com. Audiogalaxy will also pay a “substantial sum” to music publishers and the industry. Following the demise of Napster, Audiogalaxy emerged as one of the most viable alternatives for swapping music across the Internet.
