Adobe today announced After Effects 6.5, a new version of its motion graphics and visual effects software. Version 6.5 offers Animation Presets; an advanced clone tool; new scripting support; Power Mac G5 optimization; three new grain management tools; new one-click tools like Auto Color, Auto Levels, Auto Contrast and Shadow/Highlight; and a professional 32-bit floating point color correction system. Adobe After Effects 6.5 for Mac OS X will be available in the second calendar quarter of 2004.

Adobe is now shipping After Effects 6.0, the latest release of its motion graphics and visual effects software. The new version, which was announced last month, integrates a “revolutionary” new text engine for creating typographic animations. It also adds OpenGL support, as well as integrated vector paint, a new motion tracker, keying tools and scripting support. After Effects 6.0 comes in two editions — Professional (US$999) and Standard ($699).
