The organizers of AppleScript Pro Sessions today announced that noted author, TidBITS contributor, and “Man of Opinions” Matt Neuburg will be teaching at the upcoming Chicago sessions. Neuburg will lead a session on AppleScript Studio and Automator at the five-day event October 31-November 4. The Chicago event also includes expanded coverage of scripting InDesign, as well as other major publishing applications including Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Illustrator, and Acrobat. The early-bird discount for the event is good through September 15.

Scripting Matters has announced a trio of industry “luminaries” who will be guests at the AppleScript Pro Sessions event and lead after-hours sessions. The first day of the sessions is an introduction to AppleScript and subsequent days will look at scripting real-world applications. Early Bird pricing (available until May 1) is US$400 per day, with discount packages offered for attending three days or more. The discounted fee is $1500 for all five days.
