Bitstream is releasing its first OpenType Pro Pack, Charter BT, which features six fonts: roman, italic, bold, bold italic, black and black italic. The fonts include characters originally developed for expert sets, such as ligatures, ornaments, old style figures, small caps and superiors. They support Western, Central European and Eastern European languages. OpenType fonts are a cross-platform font format. Bitstream today announced the release of its ninth set of fonts from the New Font Collection (NFC) program. The new release features display and text fonts from designers Robert Bell, Ray Cruz, Oleg Karpinsky, Hajime Kawakami, Thomas Oldfield and Allen Zuk. All of the fonts are available in OpenType format, which is supported in Mac OS X and Windows XP and 2000.

Bitstream today announced that it is releasing its sixth set of fonts from the New Font Collection program, featuring display and text fonts from designers Brian Bonislawsky, Oleg Karpinsky, Thomas Oldfield, and Neal Rousseau. All the fonts are available in PostScript Type 1 and TrueType formats for both Windows and Macintosh. Bitstream today announced the release of Type Odyssey 2, a high-end typeface collection of more than 1,450 fonts, adding more than 450 new designs from 36 contributors, including 22 new typeface designers to the collection. Type Odyssey 2 is available for new purchases and also for upgrades from the previously released Type Odyssey. Bitstream’s Web site has not yet been updated and pricing information is not presently available.
