GlobalSCAPE today announced that CuteFTP, the widely used file transfer application for Windows, is now available for Mac OS X and Mac OS 8.5 or higher. “With CuteFTP Mac, users can conduct FTP transfers by simply dragging and dropping files from one side of their computer screen to the other. The two-pane interface shows local files on the left and remote files on the right.

The popular FTP client for the PC — GlobalScape’s CuteFTP — is presently in Mac development, according to Surf-Bits. The site says the project is presently in beta testing, but no release date has been announced.
