DEVONtechnologies today released DEVONagent 2.2, its intelligent Web research tool and alternative Web browser. Version 2.2 allows the user to save the addresses of all currently open Web pages in a “workspace” that can be recalled at any time later. DEVONtechnologies has released DEVONagent 1.1, the latest release of its Internet search agent and alternative browser. Version 1.1 is optimized for Mac OS X 10.3; features “sets,” which allow users to switch with one click between various self-defined configurations — for example one for searching the Internet in general, one for development-related information and one for pictures; a built-in plug-in manager for enabling and disabling plug-ins.

DEVONtechnologies has released DEVONagent 1.0, the first “final” release of its Internet search agent. Version 1.0 of DEVONagent features new Mac OS X services for starting queries and open a selected URL in the internal Safari-powered Web browser, dock menu commands directly open new browser, query or crawler windows and it’s now possible to drag multiple results to DEVONthink, the company’s knowledge database. DEVONagent 1.0 requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later with Safari installed, and is priced at US$35.

DEVONtechnologies has released the third and final public beta of DEVONagent, its Internet search agent. DEVONagent 1.0b3 comes with four new plug-ins for searching directories such as Yahoo, WebShots, Mac news sites and the DEVONtechnologies Web forum. A wallpaper scanner plug-in filters Web pages for desktop pictures, and a dock menu provides instant access to new query, crawler and browser windows. DEVONagent 1.0b3 is free, expires on October 15, 2003, and requires Mac OS X 10.2 or later.
