DEVONtechnologies has released maintenance and feature updates for all editions of its information manager DEVONthink and for DEVONnote. DEVONthink Pro Office 1.5.1 adds support for version 2.x of the Fujitsu ScanSnap Manager, deletes the original files after they have been successfully imported through OCR, and allows to resize the input panel for PDF meta data. The embedded OCR engine has been updated to the most recent IRIS engine.

DEVONtechnologies has released updates for all editions of its smart document manager DEVONthink as well as for its intelligent Internet search agent DEVONagent and its personal notebook application DEVONnote. The updates solve incompatibilities with Mac OS X Leopard and bring additional functionality. The new versions of DEVONthink Pro Office, Pro, and Personal as well as of DEVONnote fix a number of problems resulting from last-minute changes in Leopard, but also bring improvements and features.

DEVONtechnologies today announced the release of new versions of its personal information manager DEVONthink Personal and its intelligent notebook application DEVONnote. DEVONthink Personal 1.9.5 now supports curly quotes for the English, French, German and Danish languages, knows about the new multimedia file formats of QuickTime 7 and allows to open documents in any external application suitable for their type. An “Open With” submenu presents all applications that can open the selected document(s), similar to the Finder.

DEVONtechnologies today announced updates for its freeware file find application EasyFind, the Mac OS X services HotService and WordService, and launches a brand-new filter service, PDF2RTFService. EasyFind 3.4.1 displays the results with striped background for better readability and fixes some bugs, and WordService 2.6 adds support for styled text as well as new and revised commands for stripping attachments and links from rich text and for reformatting oddly formatted text.

DEVONtechnologies has released updates to several of its Mac OS X applications. DEVONthink 1.9.1 and DEVONnote 1.6.1 add the ability to drag e-mail from Microsoft Entourage to the database or to add rich text notes from Entourage, improve compatibility with Apple Mail and BareBones Mailsmith, and come with a rewritten zoom mechanism for text and RTF documents. PhotoStickies 5.3 features internal improvements that make it faster and let it consume less memory. EasyFind 3.3.1 is faster, more stable and handles volumes with 100 nested folders.
