EarthLink today launched TotalAccess 2005 for Macintosh, a new version of its Internet access software.

EarthLink today announced its financial results for the first quarter that ended March 31, 2004. A few of the highlights include: revenues of US$351.6 million, compared to $353.7 million from the first quarter of 2003; earnings before interest income and expense, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $42.7 million, compared to $22.0 million from a year ago; and a net loss of $11.8 million, or $0.07 per share, compared to a loss of $65.7 million, or $0.43 per share a year ago. EarthLink today launched TotalAccess 2004 for Macintosh and announced that it has become the first major ISP to provide a Web accelerator, free-of-charge, to Mac users, according to the press release. The Web accelerator allows users to surf the Web “up to five times faster than typical 56K dial-up speeds,” says EarthLink.

EarthLink today announced its financial results for its second quarter that ended June 30, 2003. A few of the highlights include: revenues of US$352.3 million, an increase of 5.0 percent from the same period a year ago; earnings before interest income and expense, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of $29.8 million, compared to $12.0 million from a year ago; and a net loss of $14.5 million, compared to a loss of $34.9 million from a year ago.

EarthLink, who have been aggressively trying to shut down spammers recently, today announced its legal action against Howard Carmack, aka the “Buffalo Spammer,” and his accomplices in Buffalo, New York accused of sending more than 825 million illegal emails since March 2002. A hearing is scheduled today in U.S. District Court in Atlanta.
