Apple mini store ‘EZ Pay’ stations remain useless
ifo Apple Store notes that the “EZ Pay” self-checkout stations in Apple’s new mini stores are still not being used by customers. “The mini store roll out had several surprising elements, including a last-minute change of flooring (blue carpet to epoxy) that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the too-early roll-out of ‘EZ Pay’ self-checkout stations that have remained essentially useless without the necessary software so customers can transact their own purchases.
