FirewireDirect.com today announced another addition to its UltraIII Pro Series professional external hard drive subsystems. The 3.5 Ultra III Pro SATA Professional External Hard Drive Subsystem offers fast throughputs, utilizing Serial ATA (SATA) technology the latest high-speed way of connecting peripheral devices directly to a computer, allowing for increased performance.

FirewireDirect today announced the Spark 800, the latest addition to the company’s line of FireWire 800 storage products. The Spark 800 is a FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 equipped portable 2.5-inch hard drive, available in configurations up to 80GB. It is housed in a compact, silver chassis “barely larger than a deck of cards,” and ships with Intech’s Speed Tools for the Mac. Pricing starts at US$299.95.
