G3/OS X settlement gets preliminary approval
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has given preliminary approval to the settlement that would allow some Mac OS X owners to get a refund for the operating system. In August, Apple reached a tentative agreement to settle the class action lawsuit that claimed the company had failed to fully support Mac OS X on some G3-based Macs. The settlement calls for Apple to refund the cost of Mac OS X (up to US$129) to users who turn in their CDs.
