Washington Post: Apple paid tech guru to promote products
The Washington Post reports that NBC’s “Today” show tech editor Corey Greenberg has admitted to accepting payments from Apple, Sony, HP and other companies, charging $15,000 each to promote their products on local news shows. Greenberg appeared last July on the “Today” show to praise Apple’s iPod as “a great portable musical player… the coolest-looking one” and said “this is the way to go.” He has also appeared several times on CNBC talking up Apple’s products.
