Flux iPod Film Fest judging panel announced

The judging panel for the 2007 Flux iPod Film Festival has been announced, featuring a panel comprised of tech, TV, and film professionals. The festival, sponsored by Small Dog Electronics, will award Apple-related prizes in three categories. The panel will include, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Film Director Joe Swanberg, Emmy-nominated writer/actor Kent Osborne, Flux founder Ryan Ritchey, actress Callie Snow, former “Mystery Science Theater 3000” host/writer Mike Nelson, and “Wired” writer & film producer Joshua Davis.

iPod Film Festival 2007 announced

The Flux today announced its 2007 iPod Film Festival, which is geared at films specifically formatted for playback on the iPod. This is the second year for the festival, and unlike last year, this year’s festival will be free to enter, thanks to a sponsorship from Small Dog Electronics. Other changes include a podcast feed of all the films and a new voting system combining viewer voting and judging by a professional panel.

iPod Film Festival voting begins, free movie downloads

The Flux today announced that voting has opened in the world’s first iPod Film Festival, as well as free downloads of all the entries. Entries from eleven countries are available for download and iPod playback in three categories: student film, indie film, and music video. Voting will be open to the public until April 15th. Those votes will determine the winner of a MacBook Pro, as well as iPod winners in each category. All of the entries are pre-formatted for playback on the iPod video, or online viewing. Read More

iPod Film Festival announced

The Flux today announced the opening of The Flux iPod Film Festival, an online film festival/competition of content formatted for the iPod. “Visitors to the site can download the films for playback on their computers or iPod video, then vote for their favorite video. Prizes will be awarded in four categories: student film, indie film, family clip, and best music video,” The Flux announced. Submissions must be less than ten minutes, and formatted for the iPod.
