Apple forms new iPod division, shuffles execs
Apple has created a new division within the company focused solely on the iPod. Jon Rubinstein, who has led Apple’s hardware engineering efforts, will run the new division. Timothy Cook, head of Apple’s worldwide sales and operations, will lead a newly organized Mac division, according to Reuters. Tim Bucher, head of Mac system development, will take over hardware engineering. The moves were announced today in a company-wide internal email sent by Apple CEO Steve Jobs.
