iPodlounge reports that Apple has changed the name of its iPod Photo to iPod photo (lower case “p”) in an attempt to unify its iPod product names. “The product’s name now matches that of the iPod mini. Apple’s Web site appears to have been quietly made over to reflect the name change.

True to its word, Apple today began shipping its new iPod Photo, which was just introduced yesterday at a special Apple event in San Jose, CA. According to MacMinute readers, the new devices are shipping directly from Shanghai and are expected to arrive by November 3.
