Jobs’ annual compensation surges more than 1,000%
An Associated Press reports that the median compensation for CEOs in the U.S. increased by 15 percent in 2003 — this according to a survey by The Corporate Library. Apple CEO Steve Jobs did considerably better than this, however. Jobs’ total compensation rose more than 1,000 percent in 2003, due primarily to exercising stock options and receiving restricted stock, notes the report.
