Keyspan today announced its new Presentation Remote Pro, its updated wireless remote control that works with Microsoft PowerPoint and Apple Keynote presentation software, is now shipping. With its laser pointer, mouse and audio controls, 100+ ft range and US$79 price point, the Presentation Remote Pro is designed for public speakers and presenters in commerce or education as its range covers large meeting rooms and lecture halls.

Keyspan has expanded its family of ZIP-LINQ retractable cables with the introduction of new USB 2.0 and Cat5E cables. Shipping this month, the new USB 2.0 and Cat5E ZIP-LINQ retractable cables will retail for US$14.99 each. The USB 2.0 retractable cables connects a computer to USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 devices, and is four inches long when retracted and extends to four feet.

Keyspan has posted several drivers for its products that offer compatibility with the newly released Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. Keyspan announced today that it is now shipping retractable USB charging cables for several popular mobile phones. The cables allow a cell phone to be charged from the USB port of a Mac or PC, and are designed for use with Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson, Siemens, Sony, Samsung, LG Mobile, Sanyo, and Kyocera phones. Pricing for the cables ranges from US$21.99 to $29.99.

Keyspan today announced that it is now shipping a hardware and software combination that lets you easily add and use parallel printers with a Macintosh running Mac OS X 10.2 or later. The USB Parallel Printer Adapter (US$39) is a six-foot cable used to connect a parallel printer to the USB port on a Mac or PC, and is compatible with more than 200 parallel inkjet, laser and dot matrix printers.

Keyspan today announced that it is now shipping the new Zip-Linq line of retractable computer cables, which consists of over a dozen USB, FireWire, PDA, phone and Ethernet connectivity solutions. “Mobile computing is on the rise,” noted Mike Ridenhour, president of Keyspan. “Many computer users need to have USB, FireWire, Phone and Ethernet connectivity when traveling — yet the tangle of cables can quickly fill their laptop bag.

Keyspan today announced it has developed software that allows a user to personalize the functions of its Presentation Remote. The new software layer allows users to customize the remote by redefining the actions of the buttons on the device. This allows users to tailor the manner in which the remote interacts with PowerPoint and Keynote.

Keyspan has announced its new USB BlueTooth Adapter and 7-Way Media Reader. The USB BlueTooth Adapter (US$59) enables wireless connectivity with BlueTooth enabled mobile phones, PDAs, and other devices within a 50-foot range. The adapter complies with both BlueTooth 1.1 and USB 1.1 industry standards and plugs into any USB port on a Mac or PC.
