IDG World Expo today announced the schedule for the MacIT Conference at Macworld Conference & Expo, taking place January 9-13, 2006 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. In addition to covering the latest features and deployment techniques for Apple’s IT products — OS X Server, Xserve, Xserve RAID, and Xsan — the three-day conference will also provide in-depth training in client, security and network management techniques by industry luminaries.

IDG World Expo today announced that the MacIT Conference will return to Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco on January 12-14, 2005. MacIT is a comprehensive educational event presenting technical training on Apple IT tools and technology. This year’s event will feature the first in-depth public training on Apple’s forthcoming Tiger operating system and its IT implications.

Alan Oppenheimer, president and founder of Open Door Networks Inc., will deliver the keynote address at the MacIT (Macintosh Information Technology) conference that takes place during this week’s Macworld Expo and Conference in San Francisco. The Jan. 7 keynote talk, entitled “A History of Macintosh Networking,” is designed to coincide with the Mac’s 20th anniversary. Oppenheimer worked for 11 years at Apple, then for nine years at the Mac networking company he founded: Open Door Networks. An overview of the keynote talk is available online.
