MacPractice offers automated posting of insurance payments

MacPractice, developer of MacPractice MD for physicians, MacPractice DDS for dentists, MacPractice DC for chiropractors, and MacPractice 20/20 for optometrists, has announced the integration of ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) and access to MedAvant’s Premium Portal Services. MacPractice MD, DC, and 20/20 EClaims Ability automatically downloads the insurance carrier’s ERA from MedAvant, associates each payment to a corresponding claim and permits office personnel to simply approve the payment for auto-posting.

MacPractice and Spring Medical Systems today announced that they plan to integrate (this summer) MacPractice MD practice management software for physicians with SpringCharts EMR charting software for doctors and clinics to create the “first complete healthcare software solution designed especially for Mac OS X.” MacPractice software requires MySQL, available from MacPractice for its clients for US$250 per office, and a MacPractice software support and enhancements agreement.

MacPractice announces new medical practice software

MacPractice today announced the beta release of new Mac OS X practice software for Doctors, Dentists, and Chiropractors. MacPractice MD for physicians, MacPractice DDS for dentists and MacPractice DC for Chiropractors will ship to preselected beta clients this month. All three are expected to begin shipping next quarter, with scheduling and EClaims coming in the 2nd quarter.
