MacShirt.com (formerly MacSurfShop) today announced that it is ceasing operations after nearly five years in business. The site produced and sold a wide variety pro-Mac shirts to Apple fans worldwide. “Over the years we have seen many changes in the Macintosh market, as well as with our small little Web site,” said the site’s founder Mike Yrabedra in the press release. “Unfortunately it is now time to shut down MacShirt.com. This decision was not made without much thought and prayer.

Formerly known under the name of MacSurfShop, MacShirt.com recently announced that it now concentrates on T-shirt sales only. “Instead of churning out lots of desktop images and icons, we’re responding to our customers requests to put out more shirt designs,” said Mike Yrabedra, President of MacShirts.com. “So that’s the direction we’re going and we feel that re-opening under the MacShirt.com name best reflects who we are and what we do!
