MaxConnect is an internal hard disk drive mounting solution that allows three additional hard disk drives to be installed in a G5 Power Macintosh CPU Bay. The new MaxConnect is compatible with all G5 Power Macintosh Series Models (PCI/PCI-X & PCI Express).

MaxUpgrades today announced the MaxConnect ATA/IDE hard disk drive mounting kit, enabling a third hard disk drive to be installed without a PCI host Controller. The ATA/IDE hard disk drive is housed in the  PCI Bay of the Power Macintosh G5. MaxConnect ATA/IDE assembly is made of Aluminum and ships with power cable and ATA cable for US$79.

The MaxConnect consists of two mounting assemblies — an Optical Drive Bay Disk Drive mounting assembly that enables four hard disk drives to be installed in the Optical Drive Bay of the Power Mac G5 (PCI Express).
