McDonald’s today is expected to announce today that it plans to expand its wireless Internet service using Wayport to more of its restaurants, reports The Wall Street Journal (paid subscription required). McDonald’s Japan is looking to place Eiko Harada, the current head of Apple Japan, as CEO pending shareholder approval in March, reports AP. Harada, who has been Apple Japan president since 1997, is stepping down from the position later this month. He will be replaced on an interim basis by Timothy Cook, from Apple in the United States.
