Chaotic Software today announced the release of Media Rage 2.2, the latest version of the company’s collection of tools for media enthusiasts using Mac OS X. Media Rage can read and edit information stored in MP3, AAC, FLAC, BWF, AIFF, WAVE, and Ogg Vorbis audio files, and can assist in cataloging, organizing, sorting, and updating thousands of media files.

Version 1.6 adds an internet Artwork Search tool and a file Inspector panel to the Media Scrubber list window. In addition, All artwork views in Media Rage are now draggable from one to another or to other apps (such as iTunes).
