MediaCentral 2.7 includes a completely overhauled TV engine, that offers noticeably better picture quality, faster channel switching and direct access to recordings made with The Tube. Version 2.7 lets users watch live digital TV received over-the-air (DVB-T) and utilizes the same TV engine that powers The Tube 2.5 — the latest version of the innovative TV software.

Equinux today released MediaCentral 2.6.3, the latest version of its popular media center solution for Mac. This release adds over 25 new IP TV feeds, totaling more than 350 channels. The newly added channels include everything from ABC, CBS, Discovery Channel and MTV to Comedy Central, Rocketboom sequels or Macworld videos. MediaCentral even includes european offerings like EuroNews and several local technology and entertainment channels.

Equinux today released MediaCentral 2.4, the latest version of its popular media center solution for Mac. This release sports a customizable User Interface, an advanced TV Module and improved .Mac Integration. Simplified usability has been delivered via the new Onscreen Display (OSD) menu included in the TV Module. It combines a rich set of TV feature controls and configuration options like a concise channel list and additional information about running programs, and more. Pricing starts at US$29.95.

Equinux today announced that MediaCentral now supports additional DVB-T devices, like the popular Miglia TVMini, the Freecom DVB-T USB Stick and the Digitus DVB-T Digital USB 2.0 TV Receiver Stick. Equinux also added a “DV port” which allows to connect FireWire devices or iSight. In addition, Flickr, the successful online photo community, is now fully integrated into MediaCentral.
