MicroNet Technology today announced the immediate availability of the PlatinumNAS, the company’s latest member of the Platinum family. PlatinumNAS features Dual gigabit Ethernet connections, up to 2.0TB (4x500GB HDD) of high performance SATA disk drive to Network Attached RAID Storage with the speed and fault tolerance of a hardware RAID controller, capable of RAID levels 0,1,10, and 5. As with all MicroNet Platinum devices, the PlatinumNAS features lightweight aluminum design, making it ideal for small workgroups in every environment.

Micronet Technology today announced the PlatinumXL line of high capacity external drives. Featuring FireWire 800 and capacities up to 800GB, the PlatinumXL “boasts performance and flexibility in a sturdy and compact aluminum casing that’s only 2-inches tall, making it the smallest 800GB external enclosure on the market.” The drive is compatible with Mac OS 9 and OS X. Pricing was not available.

MicroNet today announced the addition of an external FireWire/USB 2.0 4x DVD Dual RW drive to its Advantage product family. “The MicroNet Advantage Dual RW Drive ends any confusion that stems from multiple competing DVD rewriteable standards, supporting both DVD-RW and DVD+RW standards, while boasting highest in class performance with 4X DVD-R, 4X DVD+R, 2X DVD-RW, 2X DVD+RW, 16X CD-R and 10X CD-RW capabilities.”

MicroNet Technology today announced the addition of 52x CD-RW and 4x DVD-R/W drives to its Advantage product line, which features rugged enclosures with both FireWire and USB 2.0 ports. The Advantage DVD-R/W drive offers 4x DVD-R, 2x DVD-RW, 16x CD-R and 8x CD-RW capabilities, and is fully compatible with Apple’s DVD Studio Pro. The new CD-R/W drive offers SmartBurn media verification, Buffer Underrun Protection, SMART-X high speed Digital Audio Extraction, and offers 52x CDR burning speed and 24x CD-RW burning.

MicroNet Technology today announced the addition of 160GB, 180GB, 200GB, and 250GB models to its Advantage line of combination USB 2.0/FireWire hard drives. The drives offer 7200RPM spin speeds, utilize the Oxford 911 chipset, and are housed in a “slick, rugged and compact enclosure.”
