Miglia Technology today announced the DualDisk FireWire 800 storage line. Available in 320GB (US$429) and 500GB ($669) capacities, the DualDisk reads and writes data to two hard drives simultaneously, achieving “incredible” data transfer rates peaking at 88 MB/sec thanks to its specially designed Miglia Catalyst 912 board. Miglia Technology today announced a summer sales promotion in the U.S. — a US$20 mail-in rebate on Directors Cut Take 2 and a $50 mail-in rebate on the MediaBank HS-R. The offers is for U.S. customers only and expires on June 30th (customers need to claim the rebate by July 15th).

Miglia Technology has announced it is now shipping a new version of the MediaBank HS-R, its external hard drive case with hardware-based Raid 1 support and FireWire connectivity. The new case design offers ATA/6 support, which lets you install IDE hard drives larger than 120GB in capacity. The MediaBank HS-R sells for US$479.

Miglia Technology today announced the Alchemy FW 800 PCI card, a new FireWire/IEEE 1394b card with support for FireWire devices with transfer speeds from 100 Mbps to 800 Mbps. The card offers two FireWire 800 ports and one FireWire 400 port. It will ship in August for US$99.

Miglia today announced the immediate availability of a 400 and 500GB version of its FireWire Raid units. MediaBank MT-R is a dual bay external FireWire hard drive case made out of aluminum and featuring dual Oxford 911 ATA-to-FireWire bridge boards. The 240GB version ships with IBM 180 GXP 7200RPM drives (2MB cache), while the 400 and 500 GB versions ship with Maxtor 7200RPM drives (2MB cache).

Miglia Technology today announced the immediate availability of its MediaBank HS-R, an external hard drive case with hardware-based RAID 1 support and FireWire connectivity. MediaBank HS-R is a dual-bay case with built-in hardware, which mirrors data on both hard drives. All mirroring, synchronization and backup functions are performed automatically without the need for software or human intervention. Additionally, the drive can be swapped while the unit is running (hot-swap).
