IDG World Expo today announced that attendance for January’s Macworld Expo was up slightly from last year’s event. Attendance for the 2005 Macworld Expo in San Francisco was 35,989, compared to 32,409 in 2004. The number of exhibitors also increased to 275 exhibiting companies, compared 255 in 2004.

IDG World Expo said today that “hundreds of new products” are expected to debut at next week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco. IDG also announced that more than 275 companies will be exhibiting at the event, a slight drop from approximately 325 last year. The Macworld exhibit hall will feature the newest products for the Mac platform from companies such as Apple, Adobe, Aspyr, BlackBerry, Canon, FileMaker, Harman Multimedia, HP, Intuit, Microsoft, MYOB, Nikon, Quark, Roxio, Xerox, and many others.

MacCentral notes that attendee registrations are now being accepted for Macworld Conference & Expo 2005, which will take place January 10-14 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.

IDG World Expo has started taking pre-registrations for Macworld Conference and Expo 2004, which takes place January 5-9 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Special pricing is available to attendees who register prior to December 8, 2003, while those who have attended a previous Macworld Expo should receive a priority code by email for a free Exhibits Only pass.
