Prosoft Engineering today announced that the latest version of NetWare for Mac OS X is now Tiger compatible. “Prosoft is excited about continuing support for NetWare environments running Apple’s newest Tiger operating system,” said General Manager Gordon Bell. Prosoft has been hard at work developing a new version of NetWare for Mac which adds this support.” Upgrade pricing is available from the company’s site, as is as a full 30-day demo download.

Prosoft Engineering has updated NetWare Client for Mac OS X (10.2 and higher), the US$149 client that lets your Mac communicate on a Novell Network with Pure IP; it eliminates the need to propagate AppleTalk on your local area network. With the update, it’s now possible to save a Mount-Root volume as an NDS alias that can then be used to auto-mount the volume during login. The Browser now detects unmount failures during logout and subsequently cancels the logout.
