Nova Media today unveiled Mobile High Speed 3G, which it says is the first Mac OS software to support online connections using the UMTS (Universal Mobile Telephone Service) protocol. UMTS is currently available in Europe and allows significant higher upload and download rates. Mobile High Speed 3G adds support for Vodafone’s Mobile Connect Card 3G/GPRS datacard for UMTS connections in all Vodafone UMTS networks.

Nova Media today introduced Mobile High Speed 2.7, which offers sophisticated GPRS connection management for T-Mobile, AT&T and Cingular networks in the U.S. The US$99.95 software supports more than 130 networks worldwide, and automatically sets up a GPRS connection with all necessary settings already in place. Mobile High Speed works with Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, supports Bluetooth, Infrared, USB and PC Card modem connections and most phone models by Motorola, Nokia, Siemens and Sony Ericsson. Read More
