Apple has notified some customers that their orders for the Power Mac G5 with NVidia’s GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL graphics card has been delayed. The company said it could ship the system a bit sooner if the customer would accept an ATI card and wait for the NVidia card to be sent at a later date.

It would seem that, contrary to our previous report, the NVIDIA FCode Flasher 1.1 was not pulled from Apple’s Web site, but simply moved. No explanation was give by Apple for this change. NVIDIA FCode flasher 1.1 is a firmware update for Mac OS X users (v10.2 or later) with an Apple Cinema HD Display and a Power Mac G4 with one of the following NVIDIA graphics cards: GeForce2 MX, GeForce2 MX TwinView, GeForce3, or GeForce4 MX.

Apple has posted NVIDIA FCode flasher 1.1, a firmware update for Mac OS X users (v10.2 or later) with an Apple Cinema HD Display and a Power Mac G4 with one of the following NVIDIA graphics cards: GeForce2 MX, GeForce2 MX TwinView, GeForce3, or GeForce4 MX.
