Analysts say DRM will legitimize ‘pirates’
An article on the Computerworld Hong Kong Web site notes that Ovum, a European analyst and consulting firm, has published a report saying that DRM (Digital Rights Management) will turn file-sharing “pirates” into legitimate consumers. What won’t work, they say, are the lawsuit actions of the Record Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States.
